About
Seven Farms Apartments was the first housing tax credit development on Daniel Island, which is a planned community in the City of Charleston. The development was met with fierce opposition. After a tough “NIMBY” (Not In My Backyard) battle and a strong advocacy campaign, the apartments broke ground and were placed in service in December of 2006. The apartments house 72 families in a beautiful neighborhood where children can ride their bikes to school and enjoy the many parks and amenities the Island has to offer. Seven Farms Apartments won the 2010 “Development of the Year” Award from the South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority, and “Community of the Year” 2021, from The Charleston Apartment Association. The community has been changing lives on Daniel Island for fifteen years. In addition to Seven Farms Apartments, 42, 1-bedroom homes for seniors are located in the adjacent Seven Farms Village.
